Fans of Ricky Gervais and his famous 2005-2006 podcast series, which he recorded with his friend and business partner Stephen Merchant and usually revolved around the duo making fun of their producer, Karl Pilkington, should be head over heels about the new British SkyTV show called An Idiot Abroad. In An Idiot Abroad, Gervais and Merchant send Pilkington around the world, ripping him out of the comfort zone of his beloved England, and film him in awkward circumstances, discovering new food and just generally being bewildered by the culture of other countries. The first episode, which you can see part of above, takes place in China and future episodes take place in India, Mexico, Egypt, Jordan, Brazil and Peru.
